The people and purpose behind the food
Wishbone Heritage Farms is a 13-acre direct-to-household farm in St. George, South Carolina, raising pasture-raised chicken and pork, grass-fed and grass-finished beef, and pasture-raised chicken eggs. Seasonal goose eggs may also be available and should be confirmed before a weekly Ledger feature.
Families can order online, pick up at the St. George farm, meet the farm at Sea Island Farmers Market, use scheduled Charleston-area pickup routes, and access periodic local home delivery. Selected frozen orders can also ship to eligible eastern states.
The farm describes its approach as biodynamic, sustainable and regenerative, with pasture-raised hens receiving non-GMO supplemental feed. Farm Allegiance treats these as farm-stated practices rather than independent certifications unless supporting documentation is provided.
