McCurley Farms

It started with strawberries.

In the spring of 2024, the McCurley family began bringing their farm-grown strawberries and produce to Aiken. The response gave the family a reason to stay. Just a few months later, McCurley Farms opened a permanent market on Dougherty Road.

For Paul and Erika McCurley, Aiken became the next chapter of a family farm they had been building since 2014. It also gave the next generation a place in the story, with their daughters Morgan and Bailey helping carry the Aiken operation forward.

The market connects two sides of McCurley Farms. Seasonal produce, beef, pork and eggs come from the McCurley family’s own operation, while the Aiken store also carries foods from other farm and food producers, including milk, butter, cheese and additional market staples.

That matters because the goal is bigger than filling shelves. It gives Aiken families a place to buy closer to the people behind their food and gives more producers a place at the table.

Paul once summed up that philosophy simply: “The bigger you set the table, the more people come.”

Today, McCurley Farms Aiken is more than a seasonal produce stop. It is a year-round farm market where strawberries, tomatoes, eggs, meats and other foods become something more valuable: a connection between families and the people producing what they eat.

What began with strawberries has grown into a permanent place in Aiken—rooted in family, farming and a community that showed up for both.
