MEET THE FARM

The people and purpose behind the food

Joseph Fields Farm is a third-generation Gullah-Geechee family farm on Johns Island with a long history of diversified certified-organic fruit and vegetable production. The farm grows beans, beets, berries, brassicas, carrots, collards, cucumbers, eggplant, greens, lettuces, muscadines, okra, peas, potatoes, squash, strawberries and other seasonal crops.

Families can shop the River Road farm market year-round and watch for seasonal strawberry U-pick and farmers-market appearances. Eggs have appeared in agricultural listings, but Farm Allegiance keeps their provenance pending until the laying flock is directly confirmed.
