MEET THE FARM

The people and purpose behind the food

Charleston Oyster Farm is a Charleston mariculture operation founded to grow local Eastern oysters for the Lowcountry market. Its farm-raised products include Perky Sea Cups and Mosquito Fleet Petites grown from South Carolina oyster seed in floating-cage systems in the Stono River area.

The company also harvests wild oyster clusters from its lease; Farm Allegiance keeps wild-harvest clusters distinct from cage-raised singles. Families can order oysters online, call for availability and book educational on-water farm tours. The farm's mission connects local food production with oyster-shell reclamation, working-waterfront preservation and ecosystem education.
