The people and purpose behind the food
Ambrose Family Farm is a multi-generational Wadmalaw Island farm growing a broad range of seasonal vegetables, berries, melons, figs, muscadines, herbs and flowers. The family has farmed the historic Selkirk Plantation property since 1976.
Families can shop the year-round farm stand and walk-in cooler, participate in seasonal U-pick opportunities and use CSA or farm-pickup programs when offered. Meat and eggs historically offered alongside the farm's produce may come from partner producers and should not automatically be labeled as Ambrose-raised.
