From pumpkin patches and corn mazes to wagon rides and farm animals, these are five South Carolina farms worth knowing this fall.

Find South Carolina fall farm festivals for 2026, including pumpkin patches, corn mazes and family farm events in the Lowcountry, Midlands and Upstate.
Fall farm season is underway across South Carolina.
Pumpkin patches are open. Corn mazes are tall. Wagons are rolling through the fields. And farms from the Lowcountry to the Upstate are welcoming families for one of the best times of year to visit.
If you’re looking for a South Carolina fall festival, pumpkin patch or corn maze, these are five farms worth knowing this season.
Always check with the farm before leaving home. Hours, tickets and activities can change with weather and farm conditions.
If you want the big fall-festival experience near Charleston, Boone Hall Farms is the place to start.
The Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch celebrates its 30th year in 2026 and runs Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through November 1.
The festival includes a corn maze, tractor tour, pig races, petting zoo, live entertainment, inflatables, a honeybee exhibit and pumpkins for sale.
Why go: This is the full fall-festival day — especially good for families who want more than just picking out a pumpkin.
At West Farm Corn Maze, the corn maze is the main event.
The farm’s 22nd annual corn maze runs through November 1, with public hours Wednesdays through Sundays. The farm also offers hayrides, farm animals, play areas and food trucks.
Why go: Pick this one if the corn maze is what you’re really coming for.
Clinton Sease Farm has become one of the Midlands’ classic fall stops.
Its 2026 corn-maze and pumpkin-patch season runs through November 8. Visitors can explore the maze, take wagon rides, visit the pumpkin patch and spend time in the farm’s activity areas. Friday and Saturday hours also extend into the evening.
Why go: A strong choice for Columbia and Lexington-area families — and one of the season’s later-running farm festivals.
Lever Farms offers a smaller, relaxed farm-day feel.
The farm is open on Saturdays in October with pumpkins, a kid-size corn maze, wagon rides, farm animals and farm games. On October 24, Lever Farms also hosts its Fall Country Craft Fair with more than 20 vendors.
Why go: A good option if you want pumpkins and farm activities without turning the day into a huge festival.
Denver Downs Farm is one of the Upstate’s largest fall farm experiences.
Its 2026 Fall Festival runs on select dates through November 14. The farm combines pumpkins, a corn maze and farm animals with live music, photo spots and more than 35 farm activities.
Why go: This is the Upstate choice when you want to make an afternoon — or evening — out of it.
If the pumpkin itself is the priority, start with Boone Hall for a large Lowcountry festival, Clinton Sease for the Lexington area, Lever Farms for a smaller Midlands farm day, or Denver Downs for an Upstate fall-festival experience.
Farm conditions and pumpkin availability can change as the season progresses, so check current details before making a long drive.
For a dedicated corn-maze trip, West Farm and Clinton Sease Farm stand out. Boone Hall also includes a corn maze as part of its larger Pumpkin Patch festival, while Denver Downs combines its maze with a much larger slate of activities.
You may arrive for a pumpkin.
Or a corn maze.
Or because the kids wanted a wagon ride.
But fall festivals do something else that’s easy to overlook:
They get families onto farms.
You see the land. You meet the people. You learn the farm’s name.
And sometimes you discover that the place you visited for pumpkins also grows food, operates a farm market or gives you another reason to come back later in the year.
That first fall visit can be the beginning of knowing a local farm.
